The Future of Energy Is Being Discussed
at YT The Y谋ld谋z Energy Summit 2026, organized jointly by four leading energy clubs at Y谋ld谋z Technical University, will take place on May 20鈥21 at the Historic Hamam Cultural Center on the Davutpa艧a Campus under the theme 鈥淕reen Transition and Energy Efficiency.鈥
Prof. Dr. Eyp Debik, Rector of Y谋ld谋z Technical University, met with student club representatives for breakfast at Clubs Valley. He discussed the university鈥檚 global goals, funding provided to student clubs, and new regulations regarding campus life.
Our faculty members, who have demonstrated outstanding success in research, patenting, and project development, received their awards at the YT Academic Awards Ceremony. During the ceremony, awards were presented in 13 different categories, and our Rector, Prof. Dr. Eyp Debik, shared the university鈥檚 international vision and goals for the new term.
Hosted by Y谋ld谋z Technical University, the National Technology Summit brought together Turkey鈥檚 technology giants. Organized in collaboration with the T3 Foundation and our YT TEKNOFEST Club, the event addressed a wide range of critical topics, from space research to autonomous warfare systems, and from nuclear energy to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
YT Makes a Global Move with 鈥淯TPO鈥 Status
YT Y谋ld谋z Technopark, which has relocated its presence in the UK鈥檚 capital to a new address, has also been granted the status of an International Technology Marketing Office (UTPO) by the Turkish Ministry of Trade with its new office. YT Rector Prof. Dr. Eyp Debik, who attended the office opening ceremony, emphasized in an exclusive interview with Kanal Avrupa that the office will serve as a global 鈥渉ub鈥 for Turkish entrepreneurs.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Eyp Debik, met with our faculty members who completed their master鈥檚 and doctoral degrees abroad over breakfast as part of our strategy to rank among the world鈥檚 top 100 universities by 2031. During the meeting, which focused on scientific productivity and internationalization, action plans and incentive mechanisms to strengthen the university鈥檚 global standing were discussed.
The Taygan drone system, unveiled for the first time at SAHA EXPO, is setting itself apart from the competition with its smart launch feature
Developed by Han Robotics, a company based at YT Y谋ld谋z Technopark, the Taygan autonomous interceptor drone system made its debut at SAHA EXPO 2026. The system, which stands out for its design that requires no remote control or ground station and features a world-first smart launch capability, can reach a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour and perform missions within a 10-kilometer operational range.
In the "Technology Leaders of Tomorrow" competition organized by Turkcell for university students, the ENERATICS project developed by YT Electrical Engineering students won the Sustainable Future Award. The eco-friendly infrastructure, which optimizes workloads and cooling systems in data centers, received a 300,000-lira prize from the jury.
The Stars of Hydro Team from Y谋ld谋z Technical University took first place at the HydroContest Retrofit Challenge 2026 competition in France. The team achieved this success with projects designed to help a massive 400-meter container ship consume less fuel and emit fewer carbon emissions.
The "ETK陌M Stars Acceleration Program," launched in collaboration between the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and Y谋ld谋z Technical University (YT) Y谋ld谋z Technopark, was officially unveiled.
According to a statement from Y谋ld谋z Technopark, the program was launched through a collaboration between the Ministry of National Education鈥檚 General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies (YE臑陌TEK) and the Educational Technologies Incubation and Innovation Center (ETK陌M), along with Y谋ld谋z Technopark鈥檚 incubation center, 糖心视频 Startup House.
