BasınCup 2026, organized under the sponsorship of Yıldız Technical University, will kick off today with two matches.

The soccer tournament, to be held at Yıldız Technical University’s Davutpaşa Campus, will run for nine weeks. Twenty-one teams formed by media organizations will compete for the championship in four groups. A draw was held with the participation of Yıldız Technical University Rector Eyp Debik and representatives from the participating organizations. Speaking after the draw, Debik wished all teams success and noted that the event strengthens communication and solidarity among media professionals.
